Senior Security Engineer (Network Security)

We are seeking an energetic, hardworking, and motivated Senior Security Engineer (Network Security) to join our growing team. Reporting to the Manager, Network Security, you will be responsible for daily security event monitoring, incident management, and incident response.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Security architecture and network architecture
• Independently following standard operation procedures to investigate daily security incidents and closing security incidents from the security operations ticket queue
• Mentoring SOC analysts to continue developing and efficient on incident management
• Documenting all activities during an incident efficiently (ITSM best practices)
• Ensure compliance to SLA, process adherence and process improvisation to achieve operational objectives
• Develop processes to strengthen the current SecurityOperations Framework, review policies and highlight the challenges in managing SLAs
• Perform threat management, threat modeling, identify threat vectors and develop use cases for securitymonitoring
• Responsible for integration of standard and non-standard logs in SIEM
• Implement micro segmentation network using Network Security Groups (NSGs) and Application Security Groups (ASGs) in Azure 
• Identifying areas for improvement with the SIEM tool such as rules, log integration, best practices etc.
• On call duties to support off shift major incidents

Qualifications:

• Proficient in Incident Management and Response
• Firewall rule management on Cisco ASA, Next gen, Palo Alto NG firewalls
• Cloud web application firewall experience such as with Azure Front Door, and Cloudflare
• Netskope, Palo Alto or Zscaler Security Service Edge vendor selection, POC, deployment and rule management
• DLP rule management; CASB and DLP deployment and management experience
• Azure Security Center and Azure Defender deployment and rule management
• Experience with Azure AD security, Microsoft ATP, O365 Security and compliance and Sentinel One
• Experience on SIEM Tools (Splunk Enterprise Security)
• In-depth knowledge of security concepts such as cyber-attacks and techniques, threat vectors, risk management, incident management etc.
• Azure firewall experience such as Front Door, Azure Firewall and DDOS
• Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell or Python)
• Must hold a bachelor’s degree
• Working knowledge of network routing and switching
• Microsoft Azure Certification (Required)
• Optional certifications: Cisco Certification, Security+, CISSP
