We are seeking a Senior Systems Analyst, reporting to the Manager, Application Services. You will play a lead technical & systems analysis role as part of the larger IT Applications group and help implement scalable solutions. You will ensure that all system changes meet business, quality and architectural guidelines.

This role is responsible for researching problems, planning solutions, recommending system changes/upgrades, and coordinating development to meet business objectives. The Senior Systems Analyst will also serve as the liaison between our vendors and IT for all assigned projects.

Responsibilities

  • This role is responsible architecting and developing expert level experience with SOAP / REST web services & open API development to meet business needs.
  • Responsible for creating API solution designs from high level architecture concepts
  • Guide and lead the development team with systems design and solution strategy to meet business requirements
  • Participate in projects to design and build systems and solutions to meet the project objective and requirements while adhering to best practices
  • Work with onshore & offshore development teams for project implementations.
  • Ensure compliance to design and corporate development standards.
  • Work with a team of programmers / developers across multiple teams on technical issues.

  • Perform design/code reviews with programmers / developers
  • Review test protocols to support QA & User Acceptance testing.
  • Support application deployment and release activities
  • Identify creative & scalable technology solutions for issues encountered by development teams.
  • Assist application roadmap development and help implement technology best practices.
  • Provide Level 2 / Level 3 technical support for business applications including after hours.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience working as a systems analyst or related capacity
  • 2+ years' hands-on experience in MuleSoft or other solutions IBM, Dell Boomi, Tibco etc.
  • Solid understanding of the API life cycle, solution architecture, technical documentation, including logical and physical architecture, and systems design artifacts
  • Good understanding of integration architecture concepts and patterns, including Microservices, Service Oriented Architecture, Batch Integration, RESTful JSON services, Pub / Sub etc. including Event Driven Architecture.
  • Knowledge of Testing suites like MUnit in Mulesoft, JMeter, Postman, SoapUI is a must
  • CI/CD tools such as Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, Artifactory, Git, etc is nice to have
  • Solid technical knowledge and ability to express complex technical concepts in terms that are understandable to the business
  • Experience of working in onshore / offshore development environments
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical writing and developing business presentations and power user training materials
  • Ability to solve problems spanning multiple environments in a business area
