The Vice President of Treasury is a new and critical role to goeasy’s growth ambitions. The successful candidate will report into the CFO and lead the Treasury function including oversight and optimization of liquidity and capital, accessing funding markets to support business objectives, establishing financial forecasts, and maintaining control over key assets. In addition, this Finance leader maintains relationships with rating agencies, lenders and creditors, manages foreign exchange and interest rate exposure, operates Company funding vehicles, all while serving as a conduit of financial information to key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Build a best in class Treasury function and provide leadership to the existing team
  • Develop and recommend approval policies and, as appropriate, policy revisions to support the effective Treasury governance of the Company, including Capital Management; Liquidity and Funding Risk Management; Interest Rate Risk Management; and Asset Securitization Management.
  • Develop and prepare all required reporting pertaining to Treasury management programs
  • Development and oversight of funding structures, including leading the organization through Securitization
  • Manage and enhance the Company’s relationships with bankers, lenders, credit rating agencies, and other key stakeholders
  • Develop accurate and detailed cash flow models to optimize debt financing and available cash on hand
  • Manage the accounting, required reporting and cash flows relating to the Company’s current debt facilities
  • Lead the short and long-term liquidity and capital planning process and provide insightful recommendations to the Executive Team
  • Design and implement FX hedging strategies and manage the Company’s non-domestic denominated debt, hedge position and cash flows
  • Design and implement strategies to optimize the Company’s financial position and perform analyses on various investments
  • Direct cash management for the Company including forecasting, investment of excess funds, short term borrowing and cash flow management.
  • Support all other Finance functions including financial planning and analysis, controllership, accounting, external reporting, and the Company’s Taxation function, include corporate income and commodity tax

Required Education & Experience

  • 7-10 years of corporate finance experience with significant time spent accountable for a Treasury function including different debt and equity instruments and securitization structures
  • Experience/exposure in managing Taxation
  • University degree required accompanied by a CA, CPA, or CFA designation and/or an MBA
  • Financially fluent with a keen focus on the business – not just the numbers
  • A natural leader with strong people management and coaching skills
  • A keen eye for talent and a desire to build and retain a high potential performing team
  • Advanced analytical, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced modeling skills; superlative abilities in MS Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to perform under pressure
  • Able to manage competing priorities, meet deliverables while building relationships
  • Collaborative thinker able to build consensus and cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple large complex projects
  • Familiarity with the financial services industry
  • Committed to getting the job done in a fast pace, growing, and dynamic environment
