We are seeking a Senior Systems Analyst, reporting to the Manager, Application Services. You will fulfill the technical & systems analysis role as part of the larger IT Applications group and help implement scalable solutions. You will ensure that all system changes meet business, quality and architectural guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for researching problems, planning solutions, recommending system changes/upgrades by performing proof of concept and coordinating development activities to meet business objectives with a hands-on approach. The Senior Systems Analyst will also serve as the liaison between vendors and IT teams for all assigned projects.

  • This role is responsible for architecting and developing expert level experiences with SOAP / REST / web services with open API development to meet business needs.
  • Responsible for identifying & creating scalable technology solution designs specifically with MuleSoft from high level architecture concepts
  • Guide the development team with systems design and solution strategy
  • Provide technical guidance and options with a hands-on approach to the development team
  • Participate in design reviews, requirement discussions and assimilate complex business concepts
  • Work with onshore & offshore development teams for project implementations & release activities
  • Perform code reviews to ensure compliance to design and technology best practices
  • Review test protocols to support QA & User Acceptance testing
  • Assist application roadmap development and help implement
  • Provide Level 2 / Level 3 technical support for business applications including after hours as needed on a rotation basis

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
  • 5+ years’ experience working as a systems analyst or related capacity
  • 2+ years' hands-on experience in MuleSoft or IBM, Dell Bonomi, Tibco etc.
  • Solid understanding of the API life cycle, solution architecture, technical documentation, including logical and physical architecture, and systems design artifacts
  • Good understanding of integration architecture concepts and patterns, including Microservices, Service Oriented Architecture, Batch Integration, RESTful JSON services, Pub / Sub etc. including Event Driven Architecture.
  • Solid technical knowledge and ability to express complex technical concepts in terms that are understandable to the business
  • Programming skills - JAVA, J2EE, JMS, SOAP / REST Web Services, XML, JSON, SQL/NoSQL is preferred
  • Testing suites like JMeter, Postman, SoapUI is a must
  • CI/CD process understanding & tools such as Maven, Jenkins, Nexus, Artifactory, Git, Jira etc. is nice to have
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical writing and developing business presentations and power user training materials
  • Ability to solve problems spanning multiple environments in a business area
