The Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate with the Finance department and other stakeholders of the organization including senior finance leaders and executives to ensure that easyhome business unit level analysis is completed facilitating operational needs to be met. The incumbent will play a crucial role in monthly, quarterly, and year end processes, will be involved in various ad-hoc projects, and will deliver in-depth qualitative and quantitative analysis as they arise.  The individual will report to the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis. 

Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Support the budgeting process to develop accurate, frequent and timely re-forecasts for the easyhome business unit.
  • Perform variance analysis comparing actual results to budget/forecast, providing meaningful commentary to management on its performance.
  • Develop financial models incorporating business initiatives into the budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Monitor and report on economic, industry, consumer, and competitive developments.
  • Work proactively to improve operations, processes and policies to improve alignment with business plan.

Data Analysis

  • Assist with various projects and initiatives through data sourcing, exploration, cleanup, manipulation and design.
  • Support data validation, consolidation and cleansing processes to present data in a consumable form.

Enhance Management Reporting

  • Prepare in depth analysis of business results – translating the reported financial results to actionable information on the Company’s business units.
  • Prepare quarterly KPI reports, competitor analysis and other board documents.
  • Assist with developing the appropriate set of performance metrics, to monitor performance and react accordingly.
  • Continuously enhance the management reporting package, providing increasing in-depth analysis based on the evolving needs of the business and its leadership team.

Deliver Crucial Analysis and Line of Business Support

  • Assist in the development of business cases for initiatives contemplated by the business units, and provide post-implementation analysis on newly executed initiatives.
  • Develop strong understanding of the business, identifying areas of investigation and analysis in line with the Company’s goals and objectives.

Support Strategic Projects

  • Support strategic projects such as acquisitions, divestitures, new business ventures and post-merger integration as they emerge.
  • Assist and collaborate in financial modeling, valuation and due diligence efforts related to potential acquisitions.

 

Qualifications :

  • Minimum Three years of relevant management and/or FP&A experience, preferably in the financial services industry.
  • Professional designation (either: CPA, CFA or MBA).
  • Advanced Excel skills, financial modeling, sensitivity analysis (DCF) and ROI, IRR, and NPV analyses.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset and a roll-up-the-sleeves work ethic.
  • Comfortable with rapid rates of change.
  • Knowledge of MicroStrategy, Accounting Systems (ERP), and Bloomberg.
  • Proficiency in SQL and SAS applications.
  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and provide meaningful insights and recommendations, based on analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Passion for driving results, with high level of integrity and dependability.
  • A team player who is keen to take ownership of tasks and support other team members, and someone who can effectively collaborate and work with other functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, high-volume of tasks, deadlines, and requirements.
  • Proven experience as a client focused business advisor with deep analytical and problem solving skills and an ability to build influential relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to translate data into information.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to partner with various functions as needed.
  • Solid IFRS knowledge.
