We are looking for a Director, Architecture and Integration to oversee the evolution and management of our enterprise & solution architecture area! Our market leading growth requires an individual who can handle large, complex objectives, initiatives and projects, along with being able to manage and support a team of skilled and talented architects, integration leads, analysts and engineers.  The incumbent will do this while driving decisions, holding team members at all levels of leadership accountable and successfully navigate risk, while being-adept to many areas of the business.

This role will have 2 main areas of focus:

1) Lead the Enterprise & Solution Architecture Transformation

  • Play a key role in ensuring that we have an architecture and technology strategy & roadmap that is aligned to our understanding of our current state, strategic direction and business objectives of our enterprise. This will also include identifying opportunities around what is required from an enterprise architecture point of view, to achieve those objectives with traceability to business outcomes.

2) Build and grow our Integration Capabilities

  • Oversee the delivery of our integration services, while also building and executing an enterprise-wide integration strategy and center of excellence to support the continued growth and innovation of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Build architecture and integration capabilities that are customer-centric, leveraging modern architecture and integration approaches, technology stacks and applications along with digital transformation best practices
  • Lead and continue to build a team of highly skilled architects, integration leads, analysts and engineers
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and support to direct and indirect team members while creating an environment of transparency, effective communication and ongoing development, along with adopting and enabling the goeasy culture within the technology organization
  • Build holistic target state architecture for goeasy based on strategic direction, priorities and objectives of the enterprise.
  • Manage the evolution and maturity of the target state architecture, while clearly capturing and understanding the current state at goeasy (across business, application, infrastructure, integration and security architecture domains)
  • Work with senior tech leadership to promote the value and alignment across business and tech leadership including SLT executive members
  • Establish architecture principles, standards and patterns while enhancing and building governance processes, standards, and forums to ensure adoption and adherence to enterprise standards (i.e., Architecture Review Board).
  • Lead, chair and manage the architecture review board (including establishing and managing processes for exception management)
  • Lead the definition, establishment and management of Business Architecture, APM and TPM frameworks and processes and garner alignment with business relationship management partners, application owners, and tech and business leadership
  • Oversee solution architecture design completed by solution architects, with input from technology partners/leaders, business relationship managers, and onshore and offshore 3rd party partners, and solutions vendors
  • Establish and provide oversight to the execution of solution architecture processes and practices
  • Establish a continuous service delivery culture for the goeasy integration team, building our integration capability into a center of excellence for the organization
  • Lead the design and implementation of integration strategies for the cost-effective delivery of scalable and reliable systems, products and services

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of experience in enterprise and solution architecture, and enterprise integration with a focus on digital, cloud, BIG Data and modern integration in both waterfall and agile (or a combination of both) delivery environments
  • Experience leading enterprise architecture, solution architecture and integration teams while building solid, customer-centric and service delivery practices
  • Experience managing solutions architecture and integration/interface development and delivery in a portfolio of programs, projects, and initiatives of all sizes and levels of complexity with a strong preference for experience delivering on Software and Technology deployments.
  • Leadership and hands-on experience building varying level of complex integration strategies, standards and patterns for B2B partnerships
  • A university degree is required with a focus in computer science, software computer engineering or a related discipline
  • Experience managing a team of highly skilled resources on multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, while being thoughtful to effective time management to prevent employee burnout
  • Ability to effectively manage the expectations of driven and ambitious senior leaders in tech and the business along with executive stakeholders and hold them to high expectations; the ability to influence without direct authority
  • Sound business and technical acumen, with demonstrated agility in learning and ability to quickly become comfortable with unfamiliar businesses areas or technologies
  • Show initiative and creativity in providing solutions.
  • Capability to prioritize and multitask; organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills are necessary to effectively convey goals and initiatives to team members and top management. Extensive experience building and delivering presentations.
  • Proactive, energetic, professional self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
