We are seeking a highly talented Technical Writer (6 months) to join our growing security function and to lead the development, maintenance, and revision of policies, standards, procedures, work instructions, and guidelines of security programs and related activities.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Provide a framework to create a complete IT Security governance landscape to build the policy foundations.
  • Partner effectively with the security awareness team to communicate new policies and spread general awareness about policy set
  • Creating appropriate standards (eg NIST, ISO, OSFI, ISF, PCI, SOX,  CoBIT), in support of the policies and/or regulatory requirements to align with enterprise security strategy
  • Create procedures to adhere to the supporting functions and help assist in framing the procedures to the respective departments.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure policies meet the needs and goals and test compliance with our policies
  • Collaborate with other departments (Infrastructure, Development, Legal, HR, Finance, etc.) on cross-functional policies
  • Gather and store artifacts to prepare for audits and support IT audit functions.
  • Stay abreast of legal and regulatory changes that could impact our policies
  • Performing detailed cyber risk assessment and due-diligence on third parties, when needed.
  • Provide training and awareness on policy life cycle
  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

What You Bring To The Role

  • Technical designations such as CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CEH, CGEIT, ITIL, PCI QSA, COBIT or CISM.
  • Bachelor or Masters degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering or Business
  • Experience or interest in IT and/or Information Security with 10+ years of industry experience.
  • Excellent writing skills, with experience as a writer or technical editor a plus
  • Experience drafting corporate policies or working in document management 
  • Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and time management

  • Ability to develop and manage relationships, identify cyber security and resilience opportunities with clients and propose solutions that meet the clients' needs.
  • Ability to manage cyber security projects, meet deadlines and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Strong collaborative qualities when working in a team and the ability to be develop as the subject matter expert in a given cybersecurity field.
  • Clear, articulate and confident written and verbal communication skills, including client reports and presentations, papers and articles.
