As a key member of goeasy, the Manager, Network and Telecom Infrastructure is responsible for overseeing all enterprise network infrastructure. You will ensure all goeasy and subsidiary network infrastructure are fully managed and lead the core functions of network and telecom infrastructure. The role will report to the Director, Infrastructure.

This position provides direction to both internal, contractor and 3rd party managed network support functions.  The role will be responsible for defining proper management processes for goeasy and its subsidiaries’ network infrastructure.  This will include both physical and virtual networking that expands beyond physical WAN/LAN into our cloud environments as well as some of our 3rd party hosted SAAS and PAAS solutions.  Keys to success in this role will be a leader who both build and maintain our network infrastructure strategy and as well as strong technical network foundation that will help provide leadership to our internal and external 3rd party teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategy and Planning
    • Provides leadership and strategic direction to cross-functional IT teams responsible for the daily operations of goeasy’s voice and data network infrastructure aligned with goeasy’s strategic enterprise plans.
    • Assesses current state and develops the overall network infrastructure strategy and redesign with a focus on integration, automation, security, data retention, resiliency, continuous Quality of Service (QoS), scalability, and high availability.
    • Designs, implements, and controls management workflows and operational processes for goeasy Network and Telecom Infrastructure.
    • Responsible for the development and maintenance of disaster recovery and contingency plans.
  • Network Infrastructure and Operations Management
    • Responsible for the operational availability of goeasy voice and data networks and all 3rd party and internal teams tasked to monitor, triage, troubleshoot, escalate, and resolve network & telecom incidents, events, and problems.
    • Maintains responsibility for the design, implementation, sustainability, and deployment of system enhancements and upgrades to the network infrastructure.
    • Responsible for identifying, reviewing, monitoring, and updating key performance metrics for the goeasy voice and data network infrastructure.
  • Leadership & People Development
    • Responsible for the performance and career management for all team members including development sessions, knowledge sharing, project guidance to help build a high-performance
  • Project and Financial Responsibility
    • Plans, develops, administers and monitors operating and capital budgets for areas of responsibility.

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of cloud-based networking services (Azure)
  • Expert in WAN, LAN, and wireless technologies
  • Third party vendor management techniques
  • 5-6 years of enterprise network management experience
  • 5+ years Extensive technical experience with network technologies (e.g., SDWAN, MPLS, Internet, Wi-Fi)
  • Prior experience managing people
  • 5+ years technical experience in Solution Engineering and/or Architecture
  • Project management techniques - Waterfall, Agile, and Kanban
