Here's how you'll stand out: 

As our Content Writer - Channel Communications, you’ll write clear and concise communications and develop documentation for the goeasy frontline team. You’ll help coordinate communications and references for new and evolving processes and contribute to project assessment and elements of content strategy. This includes developing knowledge of content design & management, documentation, editing, translation and overall intranet strategy.

Most importantly, you are GREAT writer and can exercise those skills under tight deadlines. A total word nerd, you know how to bring documentation and communications to life.

  • You’ll write/edit and manage the publication of weekly news stories and updates to existing content on the company intranet
  • You’ll help team members & stakeholders learn about and follow our content governance process.
  • You’ll contribute to the development of our content strategy. 
  • You’ll work with your team and other partners to keep content up-to-date.
  • You’ll demonstrate an insatiable need to understand our audience, conducting field visits where possible as part of thorough needs analysis for any initiative.
  • You’ll collaborate with all head office support teams and other SMEs to ensure flawless execution of your communications & documentation
  • You’ll work closely with the Knowledge Management team and other stakeholders to help determine the right communications plan and documentation strategy, write and publish content, and evaluate effectiveness and impact.
  • You’ll collaborate with teammates, pushing each other to push the boundaries of what has been done before.
  • You’ll use our platform to help build the best possible user experience, helping our users access the information they need, when they need it.
  • You’ll support communications and documentation for each initiative assigned to you, being sure to deliver as efficiently and effectively as possible.

What you’ll bring to the team:

  • You can write… like, really write – breaking down complex ideas and unclear bodies of content into concise, easily absorbed pieces of information.
  • You have solid knowledge of documentation design principles and can show us how you’ve used it.
  • We love that you have previous experience or education in the field of technical or professional writing and communications.
  • A certificate in technical writing, degree in English, journalism or a related field, OR experience working as a writer is a serious plus.
  • You write following industry best practices for plain language and information design. Make sure you can show us.
  • You’ve designed and developed a documentation or communication plan and schedule for at least one large project.
  • You have an uncanny ability to bring a process to life with simple language and clear instructions, and you are able to write in both explanatory and procedural styles tailored to specific audiences.
  • You have an understanding of metadata, content reuse and restructuring existing documentation.
  • You have ideas on how to measure the effectiveness of content.
  • You demonstrate a passion for clear communication and online user experience.
  • Inherent in who you are is your ability to simplify complex requirements and project documents.
  • You are people savvy, which allows you to help them see things through a different lens.
  • You’re flexible enough to change direction on a project halfway through.
