With recent exponential growth and even greater opportunities on the horizon, goeasy is in search of a strategic and creative Marketing and Product Leader to drive business growth, expand lending products, distribution channels and pursue geographic expansion.
Reporting to the CMO, we’re seeking a results- driven VP, Marketing & Product to oversee brand strategy, promotions, in-store / branch POS, and mass media planning for impactful business outcomes. This unique role is also responsible for product marketing and driving and best- in -class customer experience to help our vision of providing everyday Canadians a path to a better tomorrow, today, to life.
Responsibilities
Integrated Brand Marketing Planning & Execution
- Evolve our brand architecture across our expanding suite of operating units with a focus on growing and acquiring new customers
- Own the strategy and planning of our integrated brand marketing campaigns and go-to-market strategies for all campaign and new product launches
- Lead all media planning with agency partners across traditional channels including TV, radio, OOH, and direct mail
- Work closely with our in-house digital teams to create and manage our integrated media plans to optimize our media mix and generate the highest return on ad spend
- Drive retail marketing strategies and promotional offers to attract new customers across our national retail footprint
- Manage and analyze all campaign analytics against business objectives and KPI’s to inform test plans and future state campaign enhancements
- Manage internal creative teams and key agency partners across multiple brands including creative, media, analytics, and research with ownership of quarterly IAT meetings to drive enhanced process and creative execution across our partner landscape
- Ensure governance of our brand across all channels and act as the brand champion to ensure our brand standards and values are clearly communicated, distributed, trained and embraced by all employees nationally
Product Marketing
- Support new product development initiatives to drive product expansion
- Leverage competitive intelligence and primary customer research to develop future state product strategies and roadmaps
- Partner with cross functional teams and third-party providers to build and launch new lending and ancillary products
- Lead the development and execution of go-to-market plans for new product launches including creative campaigns, product positioning and value proposition messaging
Customer Experience
- Oversee the Customer Experience function to promote customer-centric decision making, product design and approaches to the way we operate
- Lead the Competitive Intelligence and Consumer Research functions to generate customer focused insights that are used to drive innovation and exceptional delivery of customer value
- Work collaboratively with cross functional teams to evaluate the key process areas that impact customer experience in order to identify opportunities to enhance current workflows and create new ones that improve customer experience
- Support the digital team with complex customer lifecycle campaigns that run across channels, products and mediums in order to drive customer acquisition and cross sell objectives
- Leverage data and analytics that support the voice of the customer to develop key insights about current customer needs and pain points to enhance the current customer experience and assess future state opportunities
Other
- Deeply understand customer needs across segments by engaging with customers and our sales/support field teams
- Lead and develop a team of high performing multi-level marketers while growing and retaining key talent in an environment of high accountability
- Accountable for key metrics including, new customer acquisition, brand awareness, positive brand perception, NPS scores and team engagement
- Responsible for measurement and tracking of all marketing campaigns including working cross functionally with Finance and Channel Enablement to measure and track promotional campaign effectiveness to assess lift and ROI
- Ownership of a $30M+ marketing budget including overall budget tracking, adherence to internal financial processes and working jointly with the broader Marketing Leadership Team to ensure effective spend allocation that drives the highest ROI
Skills and Qualifications
- 7-10 years of progressive Marketing experience with a proven track record of delivering results
- Post secondary education in Business, Marketing, or Commerce preferred. MBA is an asset
- Experience in managing large consumer brands in financial services, fintech, digital banking, or digital lending preferred
- Ability to navigate the complex world of multi channel attribution to deliver insights and translate those into tangible business improvements
- Strong business and financial acumen with P&L experience and the ability to help drive meaningful customer LTV
- Proven success in developing strategies, executing plans, and collaborating with key stakeholders and partners
- Demonstrated leadership excellence in building, scaling, and growing teams to meet evolving business needs
- Ability to effectively manage multiple budgets, set KPIs to determine success factor and analyze resulting RPI
- An innovative thinker who enjoys pushing boundaries, testing new ideas, and implementing creative approaches to worExcellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
