goeasy is seeking an organized, highly motivated Legal Account Manager to help manage assigned regional inventory (active and written off) through facilitation of collection tools/ability, as well legal action.

What you do:

  • Educate all branches in assigned region as required on recovery techniques, legal process, and procedures.
  • Staying organized and manage deadlines with all required legal and administrative duties
  • Manage your region’s revolving monthly PCO inventory to review and flag as “pre-lit”/” legal”
  • Manage recovery portfolio of written off loans through action and activity; Phone calls, text messages, emails, required legal action including service of legal documents
  • Proceed with legal action on delinquent accounts through the Small Claim Court process
  • Keep up to date with the Small Claims Court rules/procedures and the various requirements on the court filings and proceedings
  • Actively manage your recoveries inventory, establish payment arrangements, settlements, garnishments, etc.
  • Apply compliance, regulatory standards, and best practice on collections
  • Pull and analyze credit reports, to review new and existing files and determine next steps
  • Document all communications and legal activity while uploading all required documents onto internal systems (Salesforce)
  • Utilize skip trace (internal/external) as required to obtain; employment/address confirmation, and any other required details
  • Consistently hitting or exceeding monthly targets
  • Collect and process payments made by customers utilizing acceptable payment methods; Bluepay, e-transfer, online bill payment, etc.

Who you are as the successful candidate:

  • 1-2 years of related experience in a similar role
  • 1-2 years Collections experience (Asset)
  • Paralegal designation or legal background (Asset)
  • Post-Secondary Education preferred (College or University)
  • Full Driver's License with access to vehicle 
  • Effective verbal, listening and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task, self-motivate, and work independently
  • Well versed in Microsoft Office/SharePoint (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to work with people at various levels across the organization
  • Detail oriented and demonstrated ability for accuracy
