 A day in the life of a Senior Loan Document Specialist: 

  • Thoroughly examine title search outcomes against the title template using the FNF portal.
  • Conduct meticulous reviews of FNF cover page submissions.
  • Ensure strict adherence to policies, procedures, legal standards, ethics, privacy regulations, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Perform comprehensive post-funding assessments and promptly resolve any outstanding matters.
  • Maintain daily follow-up procedures for outstanding desktop and full appraisals, guaranteeing compliance with service level agreements.
  • Precisely manage a diverse range of mortgage loan-related documents in accordance with provincial mandates.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with external partners offering lucid instructions and upholding effective communication channels.
  • Compile precise mortgage payout requests originating from branches, legal entities, and other financial institutions.
  • Prepare mortgage discharge requests efficiently using the FNF portal.
  • Address any registration rejections by thoroughly reviewing and proposing appropriate remedies.
  • Ensure the company's designation as a loss payee on pertinent home insurance policies.
  • Maintain a proficient grasp of mortgage policies, procedures, and company-specific protocols.
  • Provide comprehensive training and guidance to fellow Loan Document Specialists within the Secured team.
  • Conduct audits on title, appraisal, and loan document queues to ensure compliance among fellow Loan Document Specialists.
  • Arrange intricate cross-province signings and necessary follow-ups with FNF notaries, lawyers, or signers (where applicable) to ensure documents are executed in line with provincial mandates.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to enhance the efficiency of team operations.

What we are looking for: 

  • Possession of two or more years of progressive experience in mortgage administration within a financial institution.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in comprehending and analyzing intricate documentation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to navigate challenging conversations diplomatically.
  • Track record of maintaining a high level of accuracy while managing heavy workloads and tight deadlines, showcasing adept time management and attention to detail.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a dynamic team. Open to receiving guidance when necessary.
  • Strong organizational skills, with a proven ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
  • Sound analytical, judgment, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Innovative and analytical mindset, driven and efficient in fast-paced and evolving environments without compromising work quality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

$21.25-22.00/hour CAD
