We’re seeking a Compensation Specialist to join our dynamic Human Resources team. This individual will be a key contributor to the ongoing evolution of goeasy’s Total Rewards strategy as the company continues to grow rapidly.  Reporting to the Director, Total Rewards, this position will grow into a lead role supporting goeasy’s compensation programs including design, modeling, communication and ongoing support. The program in the portfolio will include equity compensation, annual bonus plans, differentiated base salary structures and annual compensation benchmarking.

Responsibilities

  • Work in collaboration with various internal functional groups (HR, Communications Legal) to evaluate, implement, promote and report on compensation and benefits programs
  • Lead goeasy’s annual salary benchmark process which includes participation in market surveys, in depth analysis of results, consulting on salary bands
  • Support with analysis and key deliveries pertaining to the annual Executive Long Term Incentive program (annual stock-based grants)
  • Lead goeasy’s annual merit-based salary review cycle including system configurations, communication, analysis and reporting
  • Provide oversight and recommendations related to off cycle salary review requests, ensuring consistency in application and internal equity
  • Provide consultation and support to Sales Operations teams on design and execution of sales and target-based incentive plans
  • Lead and project manage specific initiatives related to compensation
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with benefit and compensation vendors, consultants, third party administrators, brokers and advisors. Leveraging relationships to ensure that goeasy can continue to offer high quality programs and maintain market competitiveness
  • Ensure total rewards are effectively communicated to employees and positioned as a competitive advantage to aid in talent acquisition efforts and employee retention

Qualifications

  • 3 years of related experience with strong knowledge of compensation practices and theory
  • Previous experience working with stock-based incentive plans is an asset
  • University degree or post graduate program with a focus on HR, finance or related field
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (ability to utilize intermediate/ advanced functions such as V look ups, Pivot tables, etc.) and strong data analysis capabilities
  • Pervious experience with Power BI is an asset
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and financial modelling skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and consulting skills with ability to resolve complex problems

We offer a flexible work with the requirement to be onsite 3 days per week
