Join goeasy as our next Manager, User Acceptance Testing (UAT)! In this role, you will collaborate with diverse teams to ensure the successful completion of test plans on schedule. You will document test plans, bidirectional matrices, and test cases, execute test cases, and provide guidance and coaching to team members. Additionally, you will consolidate all defects and prepare for defect triaging. You will also be responsible for delivering daily and weekly testing status reports to the project team and managing direct reports.
What will you be doing?
- Managing and assigning testing team resources based on business needs, ensuring adherence to implemented processes.
- Collaborating with Business Owners, Central Admin, and third-party vendors to execute goeasy initiatives that meet or exceed quality standards.
- Participating in all phases of the development cycle, leading testing activities for multiple strategic projects, and providing final test reports (signoff) and metrics.
- Translating business requirements and operational workflows into test scenarios and test cases for successful execution.
- Providing ongoing testing status reports, including test case execution, defect reporting, and tracking results of remediated defects.
- Creating, maintaining, and executing manual test cases as needed, and setting standards for the testing cycle.
- Conducting end-to-end and regression test case peer reviews with business users, ensuring each release has up-to-date test cases and regression sets.
- Leading the regression phase of the software release cycle and following up with business end users and business analysts on the development of test cases.
- Contributing to a cross-functional teamwork atmosphere, adhering to goeasy's Agile product lifecycle principles.
- Ensuring all releases and tasks are properly planned, realistically estimated, scheduled, and monitored against milestones, following review processes.
- Participating in developing testing training documentation, setting training sessions, and providing post-implementation support for all deliverables.
What experience do you have?
- A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline, with a preference for Computer Science.
- Over 4 years of experience in testing various levels, including component, system, integration, and acceptance.
- Passionate about testing and staying current with industry trends and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a small, highly accountable development environment.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Proven problem-solving aptitude.
- Ability to motivate and mentor staff.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
We offer a Flexible Work Program that provides you the ability to work three days onsite per week, from our Mississauga office.
