goeasy is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Senior Manager, Legal Services to lead and support a team of Legal Account Managers. This role is responsible for driving both individual and team performance through strong, inspirational leadership, while fostering engagement and continuous skill development through coaching and training.
A day in the life of a Senior Manager, Legal Services:
- Lead the vision, strategy, and daily operations of the National Unsecured Legal Program
- Ensure team performance and service standards are consistently achieved
- Develop and implement processes to capture, analyze, and leverage customer insights to enhance the overall customer experience
- Identify gaps in processes, training, knowledge, and policies at both field and team levels, and drive improvements
- Utilize legal reporting to provide actionable insights and updates to the Director of Collections
- Directly manage and support the Team Manager of Unsecured Services overseeing delinquent accounts
- Oversee performance and accountability of all third-party vendors providing legal services on behalf of goeasy
- Facilitate weekly meetings with internal teams and external partners to drive alignment and performance
- Produce regular reports on collection and recovery activities, including weekly and monthly recovery forecasts
- Support and lead change management initiatives by ensuring clear communication, alignment, and adoption across teams
- Provide leadership, guidance, and prioritization support during periods of high customer demand
What we are looking for:
- Experience in a people leadership role, with a strong ability to coach and develop teams
- Strong knowledge of unsecured collections (experience in lending or non-bank collections environments preferred)
- Familiarity with Canadian collections laws and small claims processes (considered an asset)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver constructive feedback that drives performance and engagement
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and recommend process or staffing improvements
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Minimum 2 years of face-to-face collections experience
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Willingness and ability to travel occassionally
