Reporting to the Director, Leadership & Employee Engagement, the Senior Manager, Leadership Development is a critical role in the continuing momentum in the leadership and career development strategy, program design, and execution at all levels for the organization.

Job Responsibilities

  • Builds, maintains, and continually advances the leadership development strategy and curriculum, inclusive of in-class learning programs, virtual-led programs, performance support tools to build capabilities in leaders.
  • Partners with HR and business leaders in building the leaders of the future with the capability to curate and manage high-performing teams.
  • Conducts needs analysis to determine gaps between current and desired state to develop strong leaders and high potential employees.
  • Manages vendor relationships with third-party leadership development suppliers while continually assessing and exploring new opportunities. Determines whether to build, buy, or curate content to meet the needs of the business.
  • Devises program evaluation processes and measurements to monitor the effectiveness of program offerings and return on investment, and implements improvements where required.
  • Maintains active knowledge of best practices in leadership learning, talent management and instructional design and delivery related to improving the effectiveness of organizational leaders.
  • Utilizes creative thinking capabilities to design and develop client-specific leadership interventions using innovative development approaches.
  • Designs learning experiences that are effective and engaging to learners, applying adult learning principles, and follow-up reinforcement activities.
  • Conducts individual and group coaching
  • Supports the development of goeasy’s Career Growth Framework and competency models
  • Ensures learning materials are effective, current, and relevant.
  • Evaluates the impact of learning solutions for quality, improvement of performance business impact, and scalability.

Key Qualification & Experiences

  • 4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university in education, business, communications, or related field
  • 7+ years of direct work experience developing training programs, products, and learning experiences, with emphasis on leadership development.
  • Experience creating, executing, and managing leadership programs impacting a wide range of audiences (e.g., new leader programs through senior leadership development programs).
  • Experience as a facilitator of leadership training programs (face-to-face and virtual)
  • Demonstrated experience designing and developing online, instructor-led, or blended learning programs related to leadership or management development.
  • Extensive knowledge of current leadership and professional development theories and practices
  • High degree of business acumen and strategic thinking and planning
  • Formal coaching education and experience an asset
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions in a timely manner sometimes with incomplete information, under tight deadlines and in high pressure situations.
  • Enthusiasm, supportiveness, and a focus on developing others and self.
  • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
  • Certification in Caliper or other psychometric assessments an asset
