The Network Engineer oversees, drives, will be the face of the day-to-day operations, implementation, and maintenance of goeasy's robust corporate network! You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with established standards, this role stands as the escalation point for network issues, providing high-level technical support for LAN/WAN, Wireless, and VoIP technologies. Additionally, you will contribute to capacity planning, future network growth, and the procurement of network resources for new and upgraded sites.

What will you be doing?

  • Act as the subject matter expert while working with cross-functional teams on deliverables and own the day-to-day activities associated with Network Infrastructure.
  • Partner with service provider to Manage and Operate goeasy’s network infrastructure.
  • Act as an escalation point for network support issues and provide high-level technical support for LAN/WAN, Wireless and VoIP technologies.
  • Monitor network performance and take steps to improve it.
  • Perform capacity planning and the future growth of our network infrastructure.
  • Provision and procurement of Network Resources for new site builds and upgrades to existing sites.
  • Conduct research and development of technology for enhancement of the overall network operations.
  • Collaborate with other teams to create and implement network infrastructure solutions.
  • Triage support requests and coordinate resolution with our MSP and other teams.
  • Ensure all technical outputs meet or exceed quality expectations and adhere to change management policies.
  • Maintain network infrastructure documentation and contribute to training materials.
  • Perform Disaster Recovery Planning and testing of network related resources.

What experience do you have?

  • 2-3 years' industry experience in large enterprise network engineering.
  • CCNA, CCNP certification or equivalent expertise.
  • Preferential experience in the financial industry.
  • Profound understanding of network concepts, devices, and protocols.
  • Competency in routing protocols like BGP and OSPF.
  • Experience managing Cisco Switches/Routers (Layer 2/3 concepts).
  • Proficiency in IPAM, NPS, and DHCP management.
  • Advanced knowledge in ACLs, NATs, SSL/TLS, and IPSEC VPN.
  • Experience with route/policy-based VPNs in multi-vendor environments (IPSEC, DMVPN, etc.).
  • Strong grasp of SDWAN (VMware, Meraki, Fortinet).
  • Hands-on experience with Wi-Fi, 802.11 protocols, and troubleshooting.
  • Administration of leading NAC and AAA platforms for endpoint access controls.
  • Knowledge of network concepts in virtualized environments (VMware, Hyper V).
  • Understanding various Azure networking building blocks.
  • Hands-on MS-Teams configuration including devices and call features.
  • Diagnosing complex network issues using Wireshark and other monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with information security best practices for network design and troubleshooting.
