goeasy is seeking a dynamic, well experienced and innovative Project Manager (Tech Delivery) for our Project Delivery Office who ensures that our innovative and creative projects are executed and delivered.  With our record breaking growth comes a business that is fast paced and exciting and requires this individual to be someone who can handle large, complex projects and successfully navigate risk while being exposed to many areas of the business. What will you be doing?

Project management responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope. Oversee all aspects of projects. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project. Prepare reports for upper management regarding status of project. Project Managers are responsible for small to medium size projects or could be supporting Program Managers or Sr. Project Managers by managing workstreams of a program or strategic project.

  • Delivering projects to meet time, budget and scope expectations.
  • Successfully manage a number of projects simultaneously.
  • Drive all aspects of project delivery including defining project scope, specifying deliverables, estimating project duration, effort and cost, managing project budget, creating detailed project plans, schedules and managing change requests.
  • Act as the primary liaison between all team members assigned to a project, IT and business.
  • Motivate project team members for successful delivery of project objectives.
  • Ensure project success by driving execution through the application of sound project management principles and methodologies.
  • Maintain regular communications with team and business stakeholders to ensure necessary and appropriate steps are taken to resolve difficulties, which may impede progress or compromise achievement of project’s objectives.
  • Maintain a detailed status, activities and issues reports on each project to present to Senior Leadership and major project stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify, quantify, mitigate, and manage risks.
  • Work closely with Resource Managers to ensure each project team has established meaningful, key metrics that properly reflect the performance of the team and indicates progress towards objectives.
  • Chairs regular core team and key governance forums (e.g. team stand-ups, Steering Committees) to review progress with key constituents.
  • Provides project leadership to ensure the vision and objectives of the project/transformation are driven properly, and meets expectations.
  • Contribute to the maturation of goeasy Project Delivery Office standards, methodologies, processes and governance.

What experience do you have?

  • A minimum of 5 years in-depth experience managing complex projects.
  • Experience managing project budgets > 1M.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, effective at the senior executive level.
  • Sound business and technical acumen, with demonstrated agility in learning and ability to quickly become comfortable with unfamiliar businesses areas or of technologies.
  • Strong leadership skills, and the ability to lead teams from varied backgrounds (business, technology, operations, etc.).
  • PMP designation is an asset.

We offer a Flexible Work Program that provides you the ability to work three days onsite per week, from our Mississauga or downtown Toronto office.
