As the Director, IT Infrastructure & Cloud Engineering at goeasy, you’ll step into a strategic and hands-on leadership role where your impact will be felt across the entire organization. You’ll be responsible for shaping the design, delivery, and operations of our enterprise infrastructure and cloud platforms—ensuring they’re secure, scalable, and built for growth. Leading a talented team of engineers and technical specialists, you’ll help drive reliability and innovation across our core technology services. This role is all about enabling business success through resilient infrastructure, optimized cloud solutions, and strong cross-functional collaboration. What will you be doing?

• Shape and execute a forward-looking infrastructure strategy that supports goeasy’s growth, scalability, and resilience across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Lead the delivery of secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud platforms that meet enterprise needs.
• Oversee the design and performance of network services including WAN, LAN, VPN, and SD-WAN, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
• Drive system reliability through proactive monitoring, incident response, and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and risk teams to implement infrastructure controls aligned with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team of engineers and technical specialists, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Work cross-functionally with application, data, and end-user technology teams to ensure infrastructure services are integrated and aligned with business priorities.
• Manage vendor and cloud service provider relationships to ensure strategic alignment and contract compliance.
• Own infrastructure budgets, optimize costs, and lead investment planning to maximize return on investment.
• Provide senior leadership with clear updates on infrastructure performance, risks, and strategic initiatives.
• Champion operational excellence through automation, standardization, and adoption of best practices.
• Lead major incident response efforts, ensuring timely resolution, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions.

What experience do you have?

• A university degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• 6–8+ years of progressive leadership and technology experience, ideally within financial services, multi-unit retail, or similar industries.
• Proven success in leading IT delivery and execution in dynamic, high-growth environments.
• A track record of driving innovative technology solutions and fostering a culture that embraces autonomy, process discipline, and calculated risk-taking.
• Strong grasp of current trends in IT, including security, risk management, regulatory compliance, and enterprise collaboration.
• Deep expertise in cloud technologies and infrastructure-as-a-service models.
• Experience building and maturing Change Management and Incident Management practices to ensure high system availability.
• Familiarity with ITIL frameworks and standards such as SAS 70 and ISO 27001.
• Solid understanding of data processing, software systems, business operations, and network/system architecture.
• Skilled in negotiating with internal and external stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes.
• Ability to build consensus and effectively manage complex issues and conflicts.
• Strategic thinker with strong communication and problem-solving skills, capable of engaging both technical and executive audiences.
• Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments.

We offer a Flexible Work Program that provides you the ability to work three days onsite per week, from our Mississauga office.
