As the Director, Investor Relations & Capital Markets, you’ll play a pivotal role within our Finance team and work closely with leaders across the organization. Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Investor Relations & Capital Markets, you’ll partner directly with our CEO and CFO, becoming a trusted collaborator and advisor. You bring strong business acumen, comfort with data and technology, and a natural ability to translate complex ideas into clear, compelling insights—both in project work and in executive‑level presentations.

What will you be doing?

Investor Relations

  • Develop and continually refine clear, compelling investor messaging that explains our financial performance, strategy, capital allocation priorities, and market position across earnings materials, presentations, and public disclosures.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for equity and fixed‑income investors, analysts, and other external stakeholders—managing inbound requests, preparing responses, and supporting ongoing engagement.
  • Build strong cross‑functional relationships and partner closely with senior executives to research and analyze business topics that shape our disclosure strategy and investor communications.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, analyst reports, and peer earnings calls; summarize key insights and implications for senior leadership.
  • Lead the end‑to‑end quarterly earnings process, including drafting the press release, presentation deck, script, Q&A preparation, and coordinating with external vendors for call logistics.
  • Support major investor‑facing events such as investor days, M&A announcements, conference participation, non‑deal roadshows, and quarterly updates—including preparing materials, briefing leadership, and managing schedules.
  • Maintain and organize core IR infrastructure, including investor decks, disclosure archives, research summaries, historical materials, and conference documentation.
  • Use market data platforms and internal tools to support investor targeting, shareholder analysis, ownership tracking, and competitive positioning.
  • Partner with Finance, Legal, and senior leadership on the preparation and review of the Annual Report, AIF, and materials for the Annual General Meeting to ensure alignment with disclosure requirements.

Capital Markets

  • Collaborate with Treasury and Legal on capital markets initiatives, supporting preparation of financing materials, rating agency presentations, and related documentation.
  • Monitor trading activity, shareholder composition, market conditions, and key performance indicators to help guide strategic decision‑making.
  • Conduct market research, valuation benchmarking, competitive intelligence, and other analyses to support leadership and capital markets strategy.
  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders and senior executives on strategic analyses, special projects, and ad‑hoc requests.
  • Identify opportunities to improve IR and capital markets processes, reporting, tools, and workflows in a fast‑paced, high‑visibility public company environment.

What experience do you have?

  • Experience as a Director (or equivalent) in Investor Relations for a publicly traded company preferred, or 5–7 years in investment banking, consulting, or corporate development.
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance or Commerce; MBA, CFA, or CBV preferred.
  • Financial services experience is an asset.
  • Experience working in a high‑visibility, hands‑on role with senior leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Strong business judgment and ability to understand the “big picture.”
  • Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to draw insights from complex quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Solid financial acumen and comfort working with financial statements.
  • Excellent communication skills—able to translate complex concepts into clear, compelling messages.
  • Self‑directed, organized, and able to manage work in a fast‑changing environment.
  • Highly collaborative, with the ability to partner effectively across functions and levels.
  • Curious, proactive, and energized by solving problems and driving initiatives forward.
