The Senior Manager, Asset Recovery & Remarketing is accountable for leading LendCare’s end‑to‑end repossession and recovery operations. This role is critical to improving net recoveries, strengthening operational infrastructure, and building leadership capabilities within a growing team.

With oversight of a large repossession portfolio, a team of approximately 15 to 20 employees, and multiple external vendors, this leader brings a strong collections perspective, sound operational judgment, and the ability to operate independently in a high‑impact, high‑risk environment.

A day in the life of a Senior Manager, Asset Recovery & Remarketing:

Strategic Leadership & Recovery Performance

  • Own the overall repossession and asset recovery strategy, aligned to enterprise recovery and financial goals.
  • Drive sustained improvement in net recoveries, with clear accountability for results across internal teams and external vendor partners.
  • Translate recovery and collections objectives into actionable execution plans, performance targets, and governance routines.

Operational Oversight & Capability Building

  • Establish and mature a scalable, disciplined operating model for the repossession function.
  • Lead the development and execution of process mapping, inventory controls, performance metrics, and reporting frameworks, aligned to core operational fundamentals.
  • Ensure operations are designed for long‑term sustainability, not just short‑term recovery gains.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a multi‑layered team, including two people managers and their teams.
  • Build leadership capability within the function by providing structure, feedback, and development opportunities.
  • Establish clear accountability, role clarity, and performance expectations across the team.
  • Foster a culture of ownership, operational discipline, and continuous improvement.

Vendor Management & External Partnerships

  • Provide senior‑level oversight of external repossession vendors, holding them accountable to performance, compliance, cost, and service standards.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and capability, making data‑driven recommendations on optimization or change as needed.

Collections Integration & Stakeholder Partnership

  • Apply a collections‑informed perspective to repossession and recovery strategies, improving outcomes across the account lifecycle.
  • Partner closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on recovery priorities and execution.
  • Serve as the primary point of ownership for the repossession function across the organization.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience within the collections industry, with direct exposure to recovery‑focused operations.
  • Proven people leadership experience, managing managers and/or larger frontline teams.
  • Strong operational leadership capability, including building or transforming processes, controls, and performance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently, exercise judgment, and lead with minimal oversight.
  • Comfort working in a highrisk, highreward environment
  • Ability to work in our Pickering, ON office for a minimum of 3 days/week
