Reporting to the Director, Operations, the Manager, Operations and Special Projects is responsible for the ongoing improvement and optimization of key Retail KPIs, as well as the planning, execution and deployment of special projects as assigned (including strategic corporate initiatives, as well as Retail and Operations identified initiatives). This role will serve as a primary point of contact between the assigned Business Unit(s) and the Central Operations team, coordinating activities & priorities, managing the roadmap/calendar of deliverables and driving strategic alignment between all parties.

Responsibilities

  • Aligns closely with all key functional support departments to ensure successful execution of the key projects, such as finance, marketing, real estate
  • Aligns closely with all Real Estate and Development departments to ensure successful execution of the Branch Expansion targets
  • Identify and understand business needs to complete transactions and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.
  • ongoing improvement and optimization of key Retail KPIs
  • Monitor critical tasks with daily, weekly, and monthly SLAs that must be met.
  • Act as change management liaison with Vendors and on the company’s internal systems.
  • Review of key business reports and provide an in-depth analysis
  • Develop ‘Best Practices’ within the department, and create process documentation and task manuals to drive consistent and effective policies and procedures across the organization to address inconsistencies
  • Leader within the Operations department to achieve its business and financial goals
  • Capable of communicating the organization’s vision and mission in a compelling way
  • Inspires and motivates the colleagues and reports to achieve and exceed goals
  • Viewed as a trusted business partner and respected leader
  • Any other tasks as assigned, as well as assisting in the coordination and completion of major projects and key corporate initiatives.

 

Qualifications:

  • General business degree or equivalent experience
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Proven Ability to meet volume, quality and performance targets
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking ability
  • Project Management and Process Engineering experience
  • High attention to detail with time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task, handle large volumes, tight turnarounds and multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to promote and embrace operational change
  • Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Critical and decisive thinker; problem solver
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including listening and coaching
  • Customer focused and service oriented
  • Results driven and highly goal oriented
  • Proficiency with Microsoft suite of products; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project
  • Understanding of social media and its value to organizations
  • Knowledge of legislative and regulatory environments
