We are seeking a Senior, Applications Support Analyst, reporting to the Manager, Enterprise Systems Support. You will play a critical service delivery role within the IT Enterprise Systems team and will be responsible for all IT applications. You will investigate and bring production issues to resolution, prepare documentation, and set up system monitoring and alerting ensuring all user and vendor SLA’s are held. Successful candidate will have extensive experience of working in a similar environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve application issues and severities, providing timely updates
  • Perform root cause analysis of production incidents and identify preventive measures to be taken
  • Monitor and setup alerts related to application and system processes and provide services proactively
  • Manage all production systems, recommend ways to optimize performance, provide solution to recurring problems, and prepare reports for all problems
  • Publish and maintain SLAs for availability of all applications
  • Maintain documentation and expertise in application data flows for effective issue resolution
  • Escalate incidents to application vendors and track status ensuring timely updates and resolution
  • Liaise with second line (L2) offshore operation groups and development teams to solve incidents
  • Analyze impact of incidents and clearly communicate to affected users and stakeholders
  • Monitor application vendor SLAs are held and escalate in case of vendor non-performance
  • Participate in specialist trainings related to supported applications and areas, study operations and user manuals and request additional specialist trainings
  • Escalate any performance issues towards development, infrastructure or other IT groups
  • Contribute to a continued improvement cycle by highlighting potential improvement areas in all systems.
  • After hours support on a rotational basis as per business needs

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent
  • 4+ years’ experience working in a related capacity
  • Understanding service delivery and monitoring concepts, know-how of monitoring tools used for enterprise applications, and ability to define and interpret complex application alerts
  • Hands on and proven proficiency with technology, including a programming language and database systems knowledge
  • Experience of working in onshore / offshore development environments is preferred
  • Previous development experience
  • Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture is preferred
  • Must have excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills are a must
