goeasy’s HR team is seeking a Manager, Total Rewards to join our high performing team. The person in this role will be the key contributor to the ongoing evolution of goeasy’s total rewards strategy as the company continues to rapidly grow and evolve our Employee Experience to compete for top talent. Reporting to the Director of HR & Talent Acquisition, this HR leader will grow into ownership of all aspects of goeasy’s compensation and rewards programs.  The programs/platforms in their portfolio will include: equity and executive compensation, incentive plan design, annual salary planning, benefits plan design – and whatever is new and emerging that we haven’t thought about. This individual should constantly strive to optimize the value of goeasy’s spend on various employee perks and benefits programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Works in collaboration with various functional groups (HR, Communications, Operations, etc.) to design, implement, evaluate, promote and manage the Compensation and Benefits programs and “marketing” materials to ensure optimal value, market competitiveness and cost effectiveness
  • Develops the practice; creates a centre of expertise and communicates to executives and leadership about what developments are underway  
  • Management of executive compensation programs including the tracking and reporting of all Long-Term Incentive Programs “LTIP” that goeasy offers to employees across levels to ensure appropriate governance and administration
  • Manage and evolve goeasy’s participation in market surveys to ensure surveys are applicable to jobs, scope and make best use of available results. Provide recommendations based on results and develop presentation materials
  • Monitor and adjust compensation programs to ensure they are continuously aligned to company goals, philosophy, and growth targets
  • Monitors the regulatory landscape for compliance, performs analysis and ensures compliance for goeasy’s compensation programs
  • Ensures base and incentive (short and long term) compensation programs are internally equitable and externally competitive
  • Operate with senior levels within the organization to provide value add analytical and administrative management of the company’s incentive compensation programs
  • Participate in senior management / business partner discussions regarding initiatives/changes in organization structures and compensation programs
  • Lead and project manage specific initiatives related to compensation program delivery
  • Develop and maintains strategic relationships with benefit and compensation vendors, consultants, third party administrators, brokers and advisors. The relationships will be leveraged to ensure that goeasy is able to continue to offer high quality programs and maintain market competitiveness
  • Ensure total rewards are effectively communicated to employees and positioned as a competitive advantage to aid in talent acquisition efforts and employee retention

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of related Compensation experience
  • Hands on experience in equity compensation and providing guidance in addressing issues to ensure sound administration of the plans in place
  • Prior experience working within a publicly traded/retail/ and/or financial services organizations
  • Bachelor’s Degree, with specialization in Commerce, HR and/or Accounting/Finance
  • Superior knowledge of Microsoft Excel and BI engines
  • Strong relationship management skills, with a focus on internal client management
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills (math oriented) with a keen attention to detail
  • An understanding of total compensation practices and/or compensation/HR generalist experience;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, balancing numerous priorities and stakeholders, while meeting goals and deadlines

Note:

  • Depending on the depth of experience that the selected candidate brings to the table the role could be assigned as a Manager or Senior Manager
