The Sr. QA Analyst will help support the QA Manager in the designing and execution of test plans, test cases for new and existing projects. Deep technical skills are required, along with an ability to understand how all pieces fit together and are validated in a complex, distributed system. The right individual will have extensive experience testing enterprise-class system software packages and excellent understanding of ETL and SDLC.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Experience in developing test plan, strategy, test specifications, test configuration, test reports for various tests such as integration testing, system testing, regression testing, data migration, end-to-end, etc.
  • Proficient in analyzing business, functional, technical requirements, test results, generating test reports, identifying defects and/or anomalies, and fine-tuning test data or test cases.
  • Ensure features achieve the desired level of functional flow and quality.
  • Be familiar with all testing types and Agile software development principles.
  • Skilled in manipulating SQL data, developing SQL queries, data transformation, etc.
  • Hands-on experience in ETL testing, including end-to-end testing using complex queries (SQL) and multiple sets of data.
  • Actively participate in establishing project plans, estimating work and monitoring progress against milestones.
  • Identify, log, pursue and triage defects collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve seamless delivery.
  • Report on test planning, execution, defects statistics to project team using standard test quality metrics.
  • Act as a QA project lead on assigned tasks as required.
  • Demonstrate excellent teamwork and collaboration skills throughout all stages of SDLC.
  • Self-starter, with strong analytical skills. Be able to work independently and with minimum supervision.
  • Support and verify implementations in production environment and run sanity testing.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in any discipline, preferably in Computer Science.
  • 4+ years’ experience as a Software QA Analyst.
  • 4+ years’ experience testing relational databases.
  • At least 5-years of experience performing testing of data conversion and migration.
  • Experience writing complex SQL queries is a must.
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.
  • Experience in Data Integration and Data Migration testing.
  • Knowledge of relational & dimensional database in respect to maintain quality throughout data pipelines.
  • A sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the company’s success.
  • Ability to learn existing and new applications quickly, independently and with moderate supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate ability to work well with others in a small, highly accountable development environment.
