The Manager, Social Media will own end-to-end social media for the goeasy, easyfinancial and easyhome social media channels. Reporting to the VP, Communications and Public Relations, this role will be responsible for creating, implementing and executing social media strategy and for contributing to and executing integrated marketing campaigns that simultaneously tell promote our brand, engage our customers and drive business results.

Responsibilities:

  • Creates and drives social media strategy.
  • Drives end-to-end social media for goeasy and its consumer brands, easyfinancial and easyhome.
  • Increase goeasy’s reach and engagement across Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram.
  • Performs social media monitoring, listening and measurement.
  • Manage goeasy’s social media communities. Own voice of customer reporting on social.
  • Work closely with marketers and agency partners to drive integrated marketing and communications campaigns from inception through to execution, inclusive of measurement.
  • Develop, execute, and oversee always-on, day-to-day social media content calendar.
  • Measure and communicate results.
  • Build relationships with key influencers and partners to increase our reach and the mileage of our content.
  • Work in tandem with HR to find ways to engage our employees on social.
  • Adapt crisis communications for social media.
  • Keep current on trends, technology and best practices. Own relationships with social media vendors.
  • Actively engage in blogging, discussion forums and social media channels.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of progressive social media experience.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced work environment, under tight timelines with multiple internal stakeholders.
  • Strong written and communication skills. Bilingual (French) preferred.
  • Expert-level understanding of business uses for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter and Tik Tok.
  • Experience writing short and long-form social media content (blog), and managing content calendars. Experience recording other types of rich media (video, podcasts, etc.) preferred.
  • Strong interpretation of social media analytics and experience with social media strategy.
  • Familiarity with social media monitoring and measurement tools.
  • Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics. Working knowledge of SEO best practices preferred.
  • Experience with Influencer marketing & social listening.
  • Experience working on blogs and/or content marketing.
  • Experience developing and applying impactful social media strategies that are integrated with a broader, omni-channel marketing plan.
  • Experience collaborating with a broader team to achieve team goals through social media and increase online publicity.
  • Experience managing communities.
