Build superior customer sales experiences by welcoming and engaging customers in person, over the phone, and by email

About the Role:  
At goeasy, we believe everyone deserves access to fair and responsible credit. We're looking for a Director, Collections Strategy & Performance who understands that Collections is about more than recoveries. It's about finding the right balance between customer outcomes, responsible lending, risk management, and business performance. We are looking for a strategic and analytical problem solver who can use data, insights, and sound business judgment to identify opportunities and improve how we operate. 
This is not a traditional Collections Director role. 
You'll have the opportunity to influence strategy, lead transformation, and help shape the future of one of goeasy's most important functions. With significant autonomy and visibility, you'll partner across Operations, Analytics, Technology, Risk, and Compliance to build better experiences for customers while driving strong business results. 
What You'll Do: 

Help define and execute the strategy for a critical part of goeasy's business. 
Identify opportunities to improve customer outcomes, portfolio performance, and operational effectiveness. 
Lead initiatives across Collections, Recoveries, Third-Party Partners, Offshore Operations, Technology, and Analytics. 
Use data and insights to inform decisions and influence business strategy. 
Diagnose complex and ambiguous business problems, identify underlying performance drivers, and develop practical solutions. 
Translate analysis and insights into clear recommendations, priorities, and execution plans. 
Develop performance frameworks, reporting, and operating rhythms that improve visibility, decision-making, and accountability. 
Strengthen risk management, governance, and regulatory compliance practices. 
Build and improve processes that create better experiences for customers and employees. 
Develop high-performing teams and future leaders. 
Bring new ideas, challenge assumptions, and help drive the next phase of goeasy's evolution. 
What We're Looking For:

8-15 years of leadership experience in Collections, Operations, Strategy, Risk Management, Financial Services, Consulting, Analytics or a related field. 
Strong analytical capabilities and the ability to turn complex information into clear business insights and recommendations. 
Demonstrated experience solving ambiguous business problems and identifying the underlying drivers of performance. 
Strong business judgment, curiosity, and a practical, outcomes-oriented approach. 
Experience leading large-scale business improvements and transformational change. 
Strong business acumen, analytical capabilities, and problem-solving skills. 
Ability to connect strategy with execution and lead initiatives from analysis through implementation. 
Ability to balance customer needs, business objectives, and regulatory requirements. 
Experience in Collections, call centre operations, third-party vendors, agencies, or offshore partners is considered an asset but is not required.

A day in a life of a Customer Solutions Specialist:

Customer Engagement & Sales
Build strong customer relationships by welcoming and engaging customers in person, over the phone, and by email.
Meet with customers to understand their financial and personal needs to match them with the appropriate financial, leasing, and/or service product solution.
Transparently communicate lease and credit terms and conditions and educate customers on credit-building opportunities.
Complete deliveries to customer homes as needed to support retail operations. 


Account Management & Collections
Manage customer accounts, including opening new accounts, updating records, processing payments, and monitoring overdue accounts.
Conduct collection activities on financial services and products while maintaining empathy and professionalism.
Build long term customer relationships to creates trust and increase customer retention.
Follow up with customers on missed payments and negotiate repayment terms where applicable.


Retail Operations
Uphold merchandising standards including assisting with show room set up, pricing and promotion changes, as well as manage and track inventory.
Bring products to life by assembling and disassembling electronics and home furnishings as needed.
Coordinate delivery paperwork and ensure accurate documentation for lease and finance applications.
Perform out-of-store duties such as assistance with delivering merchandise, collection activities, and administrative duties.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

What we are looking for: 

Proven communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for helping others.
Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to meet targets and drive results.
Experience in a customer-facing environment (retail, finance, or leasing preferred).
Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
Availability to work a variety of shifts within store operating hours (10am-7pm Mondays to Saturdays)
Assist in physical tasks such as moving and arranging merchandise (ability to lift 50+ pounds is considered an asset).
Comfortable with sales calls, collections, and having difficult customer conversations
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to pass background checks (criminal, employment, and credit). Having a driver’s licence would be considered an asset.

About the Role: 
Build the operational engine behind goeasy’s next stage of customer experience and performance. Set the strategy, create the playbook, and help teams across the enterprise use customer insight, technology, AI, and disciplined execution to make goeasy easier to do business with.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, the Vice President, Customer Experience & Operational Excellence will set the strategy and transformation agenda for centralized operations—building a scalable, tech-enabled, customer-obsessed function that improves outcomes, reduces friction, strengthens operational discipline, and creates a high-performance culture.
This role is for someone who wants to build what comes next: a bold, digitally enabled operating model that understands customer pain points, uses complaints and frontline insights as a source of improvement, partners closely with goeasy’s Customer Experience team in Brand, and works across the enterprise to solve root causes and scale better experiences through process excellence, product mindset, technology, AI, and talented leaders.
What will you be doing?

Define and execute a bold roadmap for customer experience, customer servicing, complaints management, and operational excellence across centralized operations.
Own the operating model for complex and sensitive customer escalations, ensuring clear accountability, timely resolution, appropriate executive visibility, and a consistent approach to balancing customer outcomes, risk, compliance, and business considerations.
Deeply understand customer pain points, complaint themes, servicing friction, and frontline feedback; share critical operational insights with the Customer Experience team in Brand; and partner across Product, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Finance, and Operations to solve root causes and improve the end-to-end experience.
Build a technology- and AI-enabled enterprise complaints management capability, including intake, triage, resolution, reporting, root-cause analysis, escalation, remediation, and executive visibility.
Establish an Operations Center of Excellence that defines KPIs, health metrics, scorecards, governance routines, and mechanisms that make performance visible and action-oriented across all Contact Centre functions.
Bring a product mindset to operations by treating servicing and complaints as customer and team member journeys, translating pain points into roadmaps, pilots, MVPs, and scalable solutions.
Partner with Product, Technology, Analytics, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Finance, and frontline leaders to modernize tools, workflows, automation, knowledge management, reporting, and self-serve capabilities.
Simplify journeys, reduce manual work and rework, improve cost-to-serve, and redesign processes before automating.
Build and develop a high-performing leadership team with strong ownership, succession depth, high standards, pace, and customer impact.
Champion transformation by communicating the vision, aligning stakeholders, removing barriers, and ensuring new ways of working are adopted and sustained.

What experience do you have?

15+ years of progressive experience across a relevant combination of operations, servicing, customer operations, financial services, lending, banking, transformation, process management, or related disciplines.
Strong financial services acumen, including customer servicing, operational risk, regulatory expectations, controls, cost-to-serve, and enterprise value drivers.
Experience building or transforming customer operations, servicing, complaints management, operational excellence, shared services, or center-of-excellence capabilities.
Proven ability to build scalable, customer-obsessed, high-performance teams with strong leaders, clear ownership, and succession depth.
Demonstrated strength in developing leaders, coaching for performance, raising the talent bar, and creating teams where managers are strong talent stewards.
Strong product mindset, with the ability to translate customer pain points, complaint themes, frontline friction, and operational data into problem statements, roadmaps, pilots, MVPs, and scalable solutions.
Strong process management and continuous improvement capability, including journey mapping, workflow redesign, root-cause analysis, structured problem solving, and benefits tracking.
Strong technology and data fluency, including experience with automation, AI-enabled insights, workflow tools, dashboards, knowledge platforms, self-service, or digital customer journeys.

A day in a life of a Customer Solutions Specialist:

Customer Engagement & Sales
Build strong customer relationships by welcoming and engaging customers in person, over the phone, and by email.
Interview customers to understand their financial and personal needs to match them with the appropriate financial, leasing, and/or service product solution.
Transparently communicate lease and credit terms and conditions and educate customers on credit-building opportunities.
Maximize sales of goeasy’s financial services and home goods through methods such as cross-selling.


Account Management & Collections
Manage customer accounts, including opening new accounts, updating records, processing payments, and monitoring overdue accounts.
Perform administrative duties and secure all required information to fulfill customer contracts for products and services, including evaluating applicant’s financial status and ability to repay.
Conduct collection activities on financial services and products while maintaining empathy and professionalism.
Build long term customer relationships to creates trust and increase customer retention.
Follow up with customers on missed payments and negotiate repayment terms where applicable.


Retail Operations
Uphold merchandising standards including assisting with show room set up, pricing and promotion changes, as well as manage and track inventory.
Keep your store looking its best by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and a customer-ready environment.
Bring products to life by assembling and disassembling electronics and home furnishings as needed.
Coordinate delivery paperwork and ensure accurate documentation for lease and finance applications.
Perform out-of-store duties such as assistance with delivering merchandise, collection activities, and administrative duties.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

What we are looking for: 

Proven communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for helping others.
Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to meet targets and drive results.
Experience in a customer-facing environment (retail, finance, or leasing preferred).
Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
Availability to work a variety of shifts within store operating hours (10am-7pm Mondays to Saturdays)
Assist in physical tasks such as moving and arranging merchandise (ability to lift 50+ pounds is considered an asset).
Comfortable with sales calls, collections, and having difficult customer conversations
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to pass background checks (criminal, employment, and credit). Having a driver’s licence would be considered an asset.

A day in a life of a Customer Solutions Specialist:

Customer Engagement & Sales
Build strong customer relationships by welcoming and engaging customers in person, over the phone, and by email.
Interview customers to understand their financial and personal needs to match them with the appropriate financial, leasing, and/or service product solution.
Transparently communicate lease and credit terms and conditions and educate customers on credit-building opportunities.
Maximize sales of goeasy’s financial services and home goods through methods such as cross-selling.


Account Management & Collections
Manage customer accounts, including opening new accounts, updating records, processing payments, and monitoring overdue accounts.
Perform administrative duties and secure all required information to fulfill customer contracts for products and services, including evaluating applicant’s financial status and ability to repay.
Conduct collection activities on financial services and products while maintaining empathy and professionalism.
Build long term customer relationships to creates trust and increase customer retention.
Follow up with customers on missed payments and negotiate repayment terms where applicable.


Retail Operations
Uphold merchandising standards including assisting with show room set up, pricing and promotion changes, as well as manage and track inventory.
Keep your store looking its best by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and a customer-ready environment.
Bring products to life by assembling and disassembling electronics and home furnishings as needed.
Coordinate delivery paperwork and ensure accurate documentation for lease and finance applications.
Perform out-of-store duties such as assistance with delivering merchandise, collection activities, and administrative duties.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

What we are looking for: 

Proven communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for helping others.
Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to meet targets and drive results.
Experience in a customer-facing environment (retail, finance, or leasing preferred).
Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
Availability to work a variety of shifts within store operating hours (10am-7pm Mondays to Saturdays)
Assist in physical tasks such as moving and arranging merchandise (ability to lift 50+ pounds is considered an asset).
Comfortable with sales calls, collections, and having difficult customer conversations
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to pass background checks (criminal, employment, and credit). Having a driver’s licence would be considered an asset.

We are offering $19.00 - $19.50/hour CAD for this role, plus the opportunity to earn monthly bonuses.
