A day in a life of a Customer Solutions Specialist:

Customer Engagement & Sales
Build strong customer relationships by welcoming and engaging customers in person, over the phone, and by email.
Interview customers to understand their financial and personal needs to match them with the appropriate financial, leasing, and/or service product solution.
Transparently communicate lease and credit terms and conditions and educate customers on credit-building opportunities.
Maximize sales of goeasy’s financial services and home goods through methods such as cross-selling.


Account Management & Collections
Manage customer accounts, including opening new accounts, updating records, processing payments, and monitoring overdue accounts.
Perform administrative duties and secure all required information to fulfill customer contracts for products and services, including evaluating applicant’s financial status and ability to repay.
Conduct collection activities on financial services and products while maintaining empathy and professionalism.
Build long term customer relationships to creates trust and increase customer retention.
Follow up with customers on missed payments and negotiate repayment terms where applicable.


Retail Operations
Uphold merchandising standards including assisting with show room set up, pricing and promotion changes, as well as manage and track inventory.
Keep your store looking its best by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and a customer-ready environment.
Bring products to life by assembling and disassembling electronics and home furnishings as needed.
Coordinate delivery paperwork and ensure accurate documentation for lease and finance applications.
Perform out-of-store duties such as assistance with delivering merchandise, collection activities, and administrative duties.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.

What we are looking for: 

Proven communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for helping others.
Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to meet targets and drive results.
Experience in a customer-facing environment (retail, finance, or leasing preferred).
Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
Availability to work a variety of shifts within store operating hours (10am-7pm Mondays to Saturdays)
Assist in physical tasks such as moving and arranging merchandise (ability to lift 50+ pounds is considered an asset).
Comfortable with sales calls, collections, and having difficult customer conversations
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to pass background checks (criminal, employment, and credit). Having a driver’s licence would be considered an asset.

A day in the life of a Branch Manager:  

Create a vision and objective, leading your team to hit your branch, portfolio goals and capitalize on financial cross-sales and add-on products. 
Plan schedules, administer timesheets, manage payroll, and other ad hoc administrative duties.

Role Overview:
Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Controller, the Vice President, Accounting is a senior finance leader responsible for overseeing key accounting and controllership functions across goeasy’s businesses. This role will provide leadership across corporate accounting, audit support, disbursements, asset and inventory accounting, vendor and expense management, financial controls, and related accounting operations.  
The Vice President, Accounting will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity of the Company’s financial records, strengthening accounting processes and controls, and supporting the continued evolution of the finance function as the organization grows in scale and complexity. The role will also serve as a key partner in executing finance transformation initiatives, enhancing the control environment, improving operational efficiency, and leveraging technology and automation to support the continued growth and increasing complexity of the organization. 
This individual will lead a high-performing team, drive greater consistency and efficiency across accounting processes, and ensure the organization maintains a strong financial control environment. 
Key Responsibilities: 
Accounting Leadership 

Lead key accounting functions, including Corporate Accounting, assist in audits, Disbursements, Asset & Inventory Accounting, Vendor & Expense Management, and related accounting activities. 
Ensure the completeness, accuracy and integrity of the Company’s books and records across multiple legal entities and business units. 
Oversee month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting processes, ensuring timely and accurate close activities. 
Maintain strong accounting governance, including adherence to accounting policies, appropriate valuations, provisions, reconciliations and financial controls. 
Partner closely with Corporate Reporting to support accurate and timely external financial reporting and disclosure requirements. 
Support the SVP, Controller in evaluating and implementing changes to accounting processes, organizational structures and operating models to improve scalability and effectiveness. 
Drive standardization of accounting practices and processes across business units and legal entities, where appropriate.
Financial Controls & Governance 

Maintain and continuously strengthen the Company’s internal financial control environment. 
Establish scalable accounting processes, policies and controls that support the continued growth and increasing complexity of the organization. 
Identify opportunities to improve automation, standardization, efficiency and accuracy across accounting processes. 
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, Company policies and legal and regulatory requirements. 
Support the design, implementation and ongoing operation of Internal Controls over Financial Reporting (ICFR), including the execution of remediation plans arising from identified control deficiencies. 
Oversee accounting and controls related to vendor payments, employee expenses and other corporate disbursements. 
Audit Management 

Support the coordination of the Company’s external financial audit and review processes, working closely with the SVP, Controller and Corporate Reporting. 
Ensure audit requirements, supporting documentation and remediation items are addressed effectively. 
Partner with Internal Audit and other stakeholders on financial controls, accounting processes and identified areas of risk. 
Support management responses to audit observations and control deficiencies in collaboration with Internal Audit, External Audit and business stakeholders. 
Finance Transformation & Systems 

Support the continued modernization and scalability of the controllership function through process improvement, automation and stronger use of financial systems. 
Partner with Technology and Finance stakeholders to enhance systems, reporting capabilities and accounting workflows. 
Lead accounting workstreams associated with finance transformation initiatives, including ERP enhancements, close optimization, workflow automation and process redesign. 
Identify and champion opportunities to leverage automation, data analytics and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions, to improve efficiency, accuracy and scalability. 
Partner with Finance Project Management and Technology teams to ensure accounting requirements and control considerations are embedded into project execution. 
Leadership & Business Partnership 

Build, coach and develop a high-performing accounting organization with strong technical capability, accountability and succession depth. 
Serve as a trusted advisor to the SVP, Controller and broader Finance leadership team on accounting, controls, and financial governance matters. 
Partner with FP&A, Treasury, Corporate Reporting, Investor Relations and business leaders to support enterprise priorities and resolve complex financial matters. 
Translate complex accounting and financial matters into clear, practical recommendations for senior leaders. 
Partner with SVP, Controller in building organizational capability through talent development, succession planning, coaching and mentorship. 
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, operational excellence and customer service. 
Qualifications: 

10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including significant leadership experience within a complex organization. 
CPA/CA designation required, with previous public accounting/audit firm experience strongly preferred. 
Experience within a publicly traded company.
Strong technical accounting knowledge with significant experience applying IFRS; knowledge of US GAAP is an asset. 
Experience overseeing accounting across multiple legal entities and/or business units. 
Demonstrated experience managing external financial audits and working with external auditors. 
Strong knowledge of Canadian income and indirect taxation; international tax experience is an asset. 
Strong understanding of internal controls, accounting governance and financial risk management. 
Strong financial systems knowledge and an ability to leverage technology and automation to improve the effectiveness of the finance function. 
Proven people leader with the ability to build, coach and develop high-performing teams. 
Strong executive communication and business partnership skills, with the ability to simplify complex financial matters and influence senior stakeholders.

A Day in the life of a Delivery Specialist: 

Build superior customer sales experiences by welcoming and engaging customers in person, over the phone, and by email 
Support retail operations by supporting the merchandising and maintenance of the store 
Deliver best in class service when delivering our products to customers’ homes 
General maintenance on the truck and around the store daily 
Providing exceptional customer service throughout the moving process + addressing customer concerns and ensuring satisfaction 
Coordinate and finalizing paperwork with customers onsite 
What we are looking for: 

Full class driver’s license with a driver’s abstract in good standing 
Ability to lift 50+ pounds and move large home goods 
Excellent communicator who is people and results-oriented looking to drive sales and increase customer satisfaction 
Some experience in a customer-facing environment 
Ability to multitask and work efficiently  
Able to pass background checks (criminal, employment, driving history)

About the Role:
We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Collections who can lead people, solve complex operational problems, and turn data and insights into meaningful business improvements.
In this role, you’ll be accountable for the performance of key areas within our Collections operation. You’ll lead and develop managers, improve processes, strengthen controls, and partner across the organization to deliver better outcomes for our customers and the business.
This is an opportunity for a practical, analytical leader who can understand what is driving performance, identify opportunities, and translate strategy into action.

What You’ll Do

Lead and develop high-performing managers and teams, creating a culture of accountability, growth, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Own key Collections processes, performance measures, and business outcomes.
Use data and operational insights to identify trends, understand performance drivers, and uncover opportunities for improvement.
Diagnose complex business problems and develop practical, evidence-based solutions.
Translate insights and recommendations into clear action plans, priorities, and measurable outcomes.
Identify opportunities to improve portfolio performance, productivity, customer experience, and operational effectiveness.
Partner across Operations, Risk, Analytics, Product, Technology, Compliance, and other teams to solve problems and deliver sustainable improvements.
Design and implement process enhancements that reduce operational friction and create better experiences for customers and employees.
Establish effective performance routines, reporting, and accountability measures.
Identify operational risks, strengthen controls, and ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements.
Lead change initiatives from concept through execution, ensuring successful adoption and measurable business impact.
Support the development and execution of broader Collections strategies and priorities.

What You’ll Bring

5-10 years of progressive experience in Collections, Operations, Business Management, Process Improvement, Financial Services, Analytics, or a related field.
Experience leading managers and developing high-performing teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to turn complex information into clear insights and actions.
Demonstrated experience identifying the underlying drivers of operational or business performance.
Strong business judgment, common sense, curiosity, and a practical approach to solving problems.
A track record of improving processes and delivering measurable business results.
Ability to connect strategy with execution and lead initiatives from analysis through implementation.
Experience using data, reporting, and performance measures to influence decisions and improve outcomes.
Strong project management and change leadership capabilities.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across multiple levels and functions.
Ability to balance customer experience, business performance, operational efficiency, and risk management objectives.
Experience in Collections, lending, call centre operations, or another regulated environment is considered an asset.
