A day in a life of a Customer Solutions Specialist:
Customer Engagement & Sales
Build strong customer relationships by welcoming and engaging customers in person, over the phone, and by email.
Interview customers to understand their financial and personal needs to match them with the appropriate financial, leasing, and/or service product solution.
Transparently communicate lease and credit terms and conditions and educate customers on credit-building opportunities.
Maximize sales of goeasy’s financial services and home goods through methods such as cross-selling.
Account Management & Collections
Manage customer accounts, including opening new accounts, updating records, processing payments, and monitoring overdue accounts.
Perform administrative duties and secure all required information to fulfill customer contracts for products and services, including evaluating applicant’s financial status and ability to repay.
Conduct collection activities on financial services and products while maintaining empathy and professionalism.
Build long term customer relationships to creates trust and increase customer retention.
Follow up with customers on missed payments and negotiate repayment terms where applicable.
Retail Operations
Uphold merchandising standards including assisting with show room set up, pricing and promotion changes, as well as manage and track inventory.
Keep your store looking its best by maintaining cleanliness, organization, and a customer-ready environment.
Bring products to life by assembling and disassembling electronics and home furnishings as needed.
Coordinate delivery paperwork and ensure accurate documentation for lease and finance applications.
Perform out-of-store duties such as assistance with delivering merchandise, collection activities, and administrative duties.
Perform other duties as assigned by management.
What we are looking for:
Proven communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for helping others.
Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to meet targets and drive results.
Experience in a customer-facing environment (retail, finance, or leasing preferred).
Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
Availability to work a variety of shifts within store operating hours (10am-7pm Mondays to Saturdays)
Assist in physical tasks such as moving and arranging merchandise (ability to lift 50+ pounds is considered an asset).
Comfortable with sales calls, collections, and having difficult customer conversations
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and able to pass background checks (criminal, employment, and credit). Having a driver’s licence would be considered an asset.

goeasy is seeking a high-performing Director, Accounting to join one of Canada’s leading and fastest-growing consumer financial services companies. Reporting to the Vice President, Deputy Controller this role will lead complex accounting and financial reporting activities across the organization and play a critical role in supporting a publicly traded, high-growth environment operating under IFRS standards. You will oversee key accounting functions, provide technical accounting guidance, strengthen internal controls, and partner closely with executive stakeholders across the business.
You ideally brings strong technical accounting expertise, deep experience within complex lending or financial services environments, and the ability to lead through growth, transformation, and operational complexity. A strong understanding of IFRS, including IFRS 9, is critical for success in this role.
What will you be doing?
Lead the full-cycle accounting operations across all legal entities. Oversee the monthly close cycles, ensuring timely and accurate reporting under IFRS.
Own complex areas related to the accounting of consumer lending under IFRS 9, goodwill impairment assessment, among others.
Provide technical accounting leadership and interpretation on IFRS standards, ensuring compliance and well-supported accounting positions.
Partner closely with Finance, Risk, Treasury, Operations, and executive leadership to support strategic business initiatives and evolving accounting requirements.
Review and analyze financial results, balance sheet reconciliations, variance reporting, and supporting schedules to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Lead the preparation and review of technical accounting memos and documentation for management, auditors, and regulatory purposes.
Strengthen and maintain a robust internal controls environment, including controls over financial reporting and complex accounting processes.
Monitor emerging accounting standards and proactively assess impacts to the organization, including implementation planning where required.
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team while creating strong accountability, operational discipline, and career growth.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across accounting processes, reporting, systems, and controls to support scalability and operational excellence.
Act as a trusted advisor and business partner to senior leadership across the organization.
What experience do you have?
CPA designation required.
Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related business discipline.
10+ years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience, preferably within a public company, financial services, lending, banking, or large complex organization.
Strong technical accounting expertise under IFRS, with direct experience interpreting and applying complex accounting standards.
Strong understanding of IFRS 9, including impairment methodologies, is considered a significant asset.
Advanced proficiency in ERP (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365, OneStream)
Proven leadership experience managing and developing high-performing accounting or finance teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business partnership capabilities.
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving, and highly collaborative environment.
Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and partner with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.

What will you be doing?
Data mining, Modelling and Analysis:
Conduct guided analytical dives to properly diagnose, document and report on the drivers of unexpected changes to portfolio/origination composition and credit performance across multiple lending channels including retail, online lending and alternative. Communicate findings and the future impacts to losses to management.
Assist Risk and Analytics leadership by supporting the development of risk models for the purposes of origination, account management and collections.
Perform analysis leading to credit strategy optimization, including but not limited to customer risk segmentation development that improves the portfolio’s risk-reward profile.
Forecast, track and measure key business metrics including loss rates, approval rates, loan conversion rates, and credit quality for new initiatives and marketing campaigns.
Forecasting and Reporting:
Maintain a standard set of risk and performance reports that evaluate the overall credit risk of the portfolio.
Monitor and maintain a comprehensive set of reports to identify delinquency and charge off trends at the vintage and segment levels. Apply observations to loss forecasting models to capture current trends and communicate to Senior Management to identify risks and opportunities to the forecast.
Conduct sensitivity and scenario analyses to understand the impact of exogenous factors, policy and operational changes on delinquency and charge off levels.
Assist Risk and Analytics leadership by providing an objective assessment of the risk profile and performance of the easyfinancial portfolio as well as the overall business unit by regularly monitoring key risk indicators, conducting periodic credit reviews, and consistently communicating findings.
What experience do you have?
Possess a strong knowledge of quantitative methodologies, risk models, and tools.
Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of statistical analysis and modeling techniques.
Hold a University Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, or a related discipline (an advanced degree is desired).
Exhibit superior analytical skills – the ability to understand complex problems, detect trends, and analyze data to develop solutions.
Understand data extraction/mining/modeling tools, including SQL; SAS knowledge.
Communicate complex information and concepts in understandable terms, tailoring messages and content to the intended audience.

Customer Engagement & Sales

A day in a life of a Customer Solutions Specialist:
Customer Engagement & Sales
Build strong customer relationships by welcoming and engaging customers in person, over the phone, and by email.
Interview customers to understand their financial and personal needs to match them with the appropriate financial, leasing, and/or service product solution.
Transparently communicate lease and credit terms and conditions and educate customers on credit-building opportunities.
Maximize sales of goeasy’s financial services and home goods through methods such as cross-selling.
Account Management & Collections
Manage customer accounts, including opening new accounts, updating records, processing payments, and monitoring overdue accounts.
Perform administrative duties and secure all required information to fulfill customer contracts for products and services, including evaluating applicant’s financial status and ability to repay.
Conduct collection activities on financial services and products while maintaining empathy and professionalism.
Build long term customer relationships to creates trust and increase customer retention.
Follow up with customers on missed payments and negotiate repayment terms where applicable.

Uphold merchandising standards including assisting with show room set up, pricing and promotion changes, as well as manage and track inventory.

A day in the life of a Financial Service Representative:
Build strong relationship by welcoming and engaging customers in person, over the phone, and by email.
Demonstrate compassion and empathy for our customers by understanding their situation and needs and matching them to a suitable financial product.
Educate and empower customers to achieve their financial goals through building their credit.
Capitalize on financial cross-sales and add-on products.
Manage collections activities for all past due financial accounts.
Secure all required information to fulfill customer applications for products and services with strong attention to detail.
What we are looking for:
Excellent communicator who is people and results-oriented, looking to drive sales and increase customer satisfaction.
Experience in a customer-facing environment and comfortable interacting with customers over the phone.
Strong objection handling and negotiation skills.
Financially motivated sales representatives who thrive in fast-paced and competitive environments.
Able to pass background checks (criminal, employment, and credit).
