You will be part of our Data Strategy and Engineering team to architect large scale data driven engagements and provide direction as the subject matter expert in Azure, AWS and SQL Server Data architecture. You will orchestrate the development of architectural standards, patterns, and frameworks at goeasy. This primarily consists of both Azure cloud, AWS cloud, MicroStrategy and On-Prem Data Warehouse environments, including but not limited to migration of legacy platforms to Cloud Infrastructure.
What will you be doing?
Designing robust and scalable data architectures leveraging Azure and AWS services, encompassing data lakes, warehouses, pipelines, and streaming solutions.
Demonstrating deep understanding of Azure and AWS platforms, including storage (Azure Blob Storage, AWS S3), compute (Azure VMs, AWS EC2), databases (Azure SQL Database, AWS RDS), and big data processing (Azure Databricks, AWS EMR).
Integrating data from diverse sources into cloud environments using tools like Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, or custom ETL processes.
Ensuring data solutions comply with industry standards like GDPR, implementing security best practices, encryption, and access controls.
Optimizing data pipelines, queries, and storage for performance and cost-efficiency, monitoring and tuning to meet SLAs and business requirements.
Implementing disaster recovery, backup, and high availability strategies for data resilience and business continuity.
Documenting architecture designs, configurations, and best practices for Azure and AWS data solutions, providing guidance on implementation.
Implementing data cataloging and metadata management for proper documentation and discoverability.
Performance Optimization: Optimizing data pipelines, queries, and analytics performance for MicroStrategy dashboards and reports.
Ensuring security compliance on Azure and AWS, implementing encryption, access controls, and auditing mechanisms.
Optimizing data storage and processing costs, monitoring resource usage for efficiency.
Implementing data backup and disaster recovery strategies for data availability and business continuity.
Designing logical and physical data models for SQL Server databases, ensuring integrity, normalization, and performance.

What experience do you have?
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Data Architect or Data Engineer with hands-on experience in designing and implementing data solutions on Azure Data Lake and AWS.
Strong understanding of cloud services and data architecture principles.
Proficiency in data integration and ETL concepts and practical experience with cloud technologies.
Knowledge of data storage and processing technologies in Azure, including Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Data Lake Analytics, and Azure Synapse Analytics and legacy SQL Data Warehouse.
Experience in migration projects from On Prem to Azure Cloud Services (Data Lake/Synapse).
Experience with data transformation and data preparation tools and techniques.
Knowledge of data security and compliance practices in the Azure cloud environment.
Familiarity with data cataloging and metadata management tools and practices.
Azure certifications related to data and analytics (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate) are a plus.
In-depth knowledge of SQL Server database design, implementation, and administration.

You will be an analytical thinker with a passion for problem solving, and will support the development and implementation of risk-led changes to the Company’s credit decision engine, origination systems and marketing campaigns.
What will you be doing?
Credit Decision Engine, Origination & Loan Management Systems and Data Management
Identify, evaluate, review, and implement new functionality or changes to existing functionality within the Company’s credit decision engine.
Execute a set of regression tests and algorithms that validate rulesets and calculations.
Conduct UAT test planning, preparation and execution.
Partner with the Risk and Analytics Acquisition and Portfolio Management teams to document new functionality or changes existing functionality to the Company’s credit decision engine.
Partner with IT to triage production issues relating to the Company’s credit decision engine and origination and loan management systems.
Conduct investigations into UAT and production issues affecting the Company’s credit decision engine.

Possess a solid understanding of data extraction/mining tools including SAS, SQL and python.

Data mining, Modelling and Analysis:
Conduct guided analytical dives to properly diagnose, document and report on the drivers of unexpected changes to portfolio/origination composition and credit performance across multiple lending channels including retail, online lending and alternative. Assist Risk and Analytics leadership by supporting the development of risk models for the purposes of origination, account management and collections.
Perform analysis leading to credit strategy optimization, including but not limited to customer risk segmentation development that improves the portfolio’s risk-reward profile.

What will you be doing?
Provide high quality consultation to management across the organization on strategies and approaches to manage complex employee issues.
Conduct employee investigations independently or in liaison with internal Branch Audit team in accordance with Company standards; professionally documenting findings and recommendations for appropriate resolution for review by Senior Leadership while maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
Oversee and support management team with performance management activity including: performance issues, progressive discipline/corrective action up to and including termination. This includes creating and/or reviewing documentation to support performance discussions (Written Warnings, Performance Improvements Plans, etc.).
Partner with other teams within human resources to leverage employee relations insights to enhance training programs, onboarding, talent acquisition, rewards, culture.
Manage communication with employees on leave of absence and facilitate return to work plans.
Coordinate with management team on Health & Safety matters including workplace injury situations.

Provide high quality consultation to management across the organization on strategies and approaches to manage complex employee issues.
Conduct employee investigations independently or in liaison with internal Branch Audit team in accordance with Company standards; professionally documenting findings and recommendations for appropriate resolution for review by Senior Leadership while maintaining confidentiality and integrity.
Oversee and support management team with performance management activity including: performance issues, progressive discipline/corrective action up to and including termination. This includes creating and/or reviewing documentation to support performance discussions (Written Warnings, Performance Improvements Plans, etc.).
Partner with other teams within human resources to leverage employee relations insights to enhance training programs, onboarding, talent acquisition, rewards, culture.
Manage communication with employees on leave of absence and facilitate return to work plans.
Coordinate with management team on Health & Safety matters including workplace injury situations.
Assist employees and management with the interpretation of Company policies and respond to inquiries and concerns.
Provide ongoing coaching and guidance to management to enhance their people management capability.
Maintains current knowledge of and ensures compliance with provincial employment laws.

What experience do you have?
University/college degree or diploma in Human Resources or a related field.
Minimum of 1-3 years’ Employee Relations or HR Generalist experience.
Strong Knowledge of provincial Employment Standards legislation, Human Rights, Health and Safety legislation and other applicable employment law.
Broad experience in policy and legislation interpretation, customer service, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
Demonstrates discretion, confidentiality, sound judgment and sensitivity in dealing with employee situations.
Strong time management and organizational skills and attention to detail to manage work, competing deadlines and sensitive projects.
Experience in dealing with various levels of stakeholders across the company.
Advanced computer skills, and knowledge and expertise in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems is preferred.
Superior interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
